Vitamin E plays a supportive role at the cellular level in immune, cardiovascular, circulatory, and reproductive functions. In addition, vitamin E is important in maintaining the antioxidant status of the body.
Vitamin E is plentiful in green grass, but what about horses that don’t have access to pasture?
Horses that don’t have access to pasture, for whatever reason, may have a vitamin E deficiency. When such a deficiency is discovered, a vitamin E supplement may be necessary. Researchers have established that natural forms of vitamin E are absorbed faster than synthetic forms. (Pagan, J.D, E. Kane, and D. Nash. 2005. Form and source of tocopherol affects vitamin E status in Thoroughbred horses. Pferdheilkunde 21:101-102.)
Elevate W.S. provides a source of natural vitamin E that is more bioavailable than other vitamin E sources. Elevate W.S. is suitable for all classes and ages of horses.
When faced with possible vitamin E deficiencies, ask your veterinarian about Elevate W.S.
Available only through veterinarians.
